Congratulations to you on your engagement and approaching marriage. Your wedding will be one of your life's most precious memories, and we want to help make it the very best it could possibly be for the two of you.
The service of Christian marriage is a sacred and beautiful worship experience of the church. A Christian marriage is a service in which a man and woman as believers pledge themselves to each other and are united by God in Holy Matrimony. It is a time of dedication and commitment for the couple asking God to establish their home in Jesus Christ.
Marriage is God's chosen way of illustrating the greatest relationship of life. Indeed, marriage speaks beautifully of the relationship between Christ and His Bride, the Church. Additionally, it pictures the personal relationship one is privileged to have with Him as Savior and Lord, which we feel is necessary to have a Christian marriage.
The fellowship of Freedom Life Church wants your wedding ceremony and your marriage to reflect the wonderful love God has given His children through Jesus Christ. We urge you to make careful preparation for both your wedding and your life together.

No wax candles - only cylinder candles. We provide the cylinder candles with our different packages of wedding accessories. If you rent wedding equipment from another facility the candles have to be of the cylinder type. No wax candles may be used anywhere in the facility. No Exceptions!
Decorations may not be attached to the pews, carpeting or other furniture by gluing, pinning, nailing, tacking, or any such method that would leave a permanent scar.
No hanging vines or other greenery may be hung from the walls or over the furniture.
All flowers and decorations must be removed immediately following the wedding unless other arrangements have been made with the Facilities Manager.
Birdseed should be enclosed and not opened inside any buildings. No rice, please. We prefer the use of bubbles in place of birdseed.
Please make sure your florist, caterer, bridal consultant, etc. have a copy of this policy.
Most couples prefer to rehearse in the room where the ceremony will take place. The rehearsal usually takes 30-45 minutes if all parties arrive promptly at the scheduled time. Please ask everyone attending the rehearsal to dress appropriately (no shorts, t-shirts, etc.) The groom should bring the marriage license to the rehearsal for the officiating minister to sign. The building will be open 30 minutes before the scheduled rehearsal time.
Churches vary on their beliefs and protocol. We want you to feel comfortable in the use of our building but please understand that the use of alcohol and tobacco in any form is not permitted.
We regret that the church cannot perform such services as accepting delivery of dresses, flowers, food, or other materials to be used in your wedding; nor can we be responsible for such personal items such as purses, luggage, clothing, or food.
The designated building(s) will be open three hours prior to the scheduled time for the wedding to begin. The designated building(s) will be open for an hour and a half after the scheduled time for the wedding to begin. Weddings may not be scheduled later than 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
You should contact the Wedding Coordinator at least two weeks prior to the wedding to go over details. It would be a good idea to also check one more time the week prior to your wedding to go over your requests for set-up, the times you plan to be entering the building for decorating, etc.
Dates and times for your wedding service and rehearsal need to be made in consultation with the officiating minister as regards to his schedule.
At the same time, your application form needs to be completed to confirm the building you are requesting is available. Please contact the church office to check availability. Reservation of the facility is confirmed only when a $200 reservation deposit is made and the wedding information sheets are returned to the Pastor's Assistant. Please make the reservations with the Pastor's Assistant. The reservation deposit will be refundable after the facility is inspected following the wedding. The Business Administrator will issue a refund check one week after the wedding.
Weddings are not scheduled on Sundays, Holidays, or Holiday weekends. Freedom Life Church will only schedule one wedding per weekend.
You may contact the Pastor's Assistant by calling the church office at (972) 307-2304, or by using our online Request Form.
Our pastor and other ministers will request counseling sessions with the bride and groom prior to the wedding. Please contact the minister you are using to set up the first appointment two months prior to the wedding.
Other ministers representing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome to officiate in the ceremony. Guest ministers will be expected to uphold the same Christian commitment as outlined in the Introduction.
Please complete the Wedding Information Sheet as soon as possible and return to the Pastor's Assistant. This sheet must be turned in along with the $200 deposit to confirm your wedding reservation date.
Music for weddings should be given to the Music Office no later than two months before the wedding for approval. The music staff can offer suggestions for prelude, processional, recessional, and other music, if you desire.
We require every couple having a wedding at Freedom Life Church to use our Wedding Coordinator. If you have any questions please contact her using our online Request Form.
We can give you a list of names of people who might be able to play/sing for your wedding. You will need to call and make the arrangements with these individuals and negotiate a fee.
