Men's Ministries Update

The Brotherhood event on Monday, May 17th, 2010 @ Freedom Life Church was an awesome time in God's presence! We had almost 300 men in attendance to enjoy a great night of competition that began with a pool tournament and log sawing contest, excellent BBQ dinner, wonderful fellowship among the men throughout the entire event, and the word of God brought to us by Pastor Doug McCallister.

It was outstanding to see so many young men in attendance, as well as a great mixture of current Freedom Life attenders and men that were brought to the event through contacts at Freedom Life. The Brotherhood event brought together hundreds of men for one evening and we feel that God is on a great mission to push through a strong movement of His Holy Presence among the men of Freedom Life and among the men of our community.

We are very excited to see what God has in store for us through having this event and look forward to our next Brotherhood event in the Fall of 2010!

If any of you guys took photos during this event, please let us know so we can add them to the Men's Ministries Photo Gallery... you can use the contact button on the left to send us a note!

Men's Connection / Men's Ministries

The Men’s Connection is the Men’s Ministry of Freedom Life Church. The Men’s Connection was started last year with the primary objective of developing strong authentic and transparent relationships and accountability with men at Freedom Life Church.

We are not about a “program” but we have developed some strategies to help men to connect, develop relationships and serve God’s kingdom. We have seen the fruits of men getting connected, developing stronger personal relationships and joining together to serve God’s work. Our desire is that the Men’s Connection will enable our men to bind together in the support of the leadership and ministries of Freedom Life Church.

The Men’s Connection is organized as follows:

•Large Group Meetings: A Monthly meeting to celebrate what God is up to in the lives of the men and an opportunity to connect with our brothers in Christ. We have had 40-55 men attending the monthly meeting.

•Small Group Meetings: To foster relational connections among small groups of men (5-8). The goal is encouragement, prayer, accountability and support of each other in development of authentic Christian Living.

•Ministry: Provide hands-on ministry opportunities that will result in men living out their faith. Current ministries include the Ronald McDonald House, Dallas Dream Center and World Missions.

•Special Interest Groups: Provide relational connections along the lines of activities and special interest of a man in connecting with Freedom Life men. Examples include Fantasy Football, Golf and Sporting events.
